Captain Cook Square is currently undergoing a multimillion pound redevelopment. 

Work is well underway to transform Captain Cook Square  into  a vibrant and exciting entertainment, dining and leisure quarter in the heart of Middlesbrough town centre.

In 2023 we welcomed Level X , a huge indoor entertainment complex set across two floors.  Level X promises  an all-new generation of Incredible play for the whole family with games for every taste and thrill. The venue features bowling, adventure golf, cutting edge VR, a vast array of arcade machines, darts, pool and a spectacular multi level racing  car track.

In Spring 2024 Captain Cook Square welcomed US fast food operator Wendy’s , its first outlet on Teesside.

Summer 2024 will continue to see a raft of major new openings at CCSQ with Fun Shack (Adventure Play) and Inflate Space (Inflatable theme Park) launching in the two storey unit previously occupied by Wilkos.

The Summer new openings will also see the launch of Bazaar, a stunning new dining/ F&B venue.
